If you ask Kristin what her favorite candle brand is, she will say ‘Rekindle Candle Co.’ prior to you being able to finish the question. She was introduced to the founder, Matt Mewbourne, in college (via her frriend, Kayley Mewbourne, from Kayley Lorraine Photography). Rekindle became Kristin’s first candle purchase that did not have parabens, phthalates, and other hazardous and toxic chemicals. The company was one of her earliest encounters with a local, small business promoting sustainability, as they utilize 100% soy wax domestically, sustainably, and ethically grown. With a store front in downtown Monroe, Georgia and a bi-weekly presence at Athens Farmers Markets, she has been hopeful to one day have the opportunity to hand model for them.
